Text: Bids for a new county detention home and welfare building at 6th and I, will be opened this morning. The old building now used as a hdqtrs for the welfare dept. will be moved to face on 5th street between the Arnold house and the county library. Several other structures will be torn down. When this property was acquired yrs. ago, it was intended to be used for an attractive hall of records to accommodate valuable archives on which property titles and other important records depend.
