Text
The Blue Creek Lodge on Blue Creek, trib to the Klamath. Jack Marris & family have established a very nice lodge at or near the mouth of Blue Creek. It's reachable only by boat. 47 yrs ago thus spot was purchased by Del Norte County pioneer George Knopp from an Indian. He then gave the land to Mills college as a hide-away vacation spot. Due to its isolation Mills College sold the property to the Morris family. Many important people including President H. Hoover has stayed in the cabins. In the old days there was an Indian trial out into the face of a cliff that ran along the north side of the river from Klamath to Blue Creek. The lodge is at the old Indian site of Naha-Galck. Johnsons is at site of Wah-Tek.
