Text: President Roosevelt authorized the B.O.R. to begin work on the Central Valley Project. The allotment board of the W.P.A. recommended allocation of $20,000,000 to the project. This $20 million will fund the first year of the $167 million project which probably includes the Modera and Kern Canals, Friant Dam and possibly the Kennett Dam in Shasta County.
