Text: The B.O.S. ordered the clerk to advertise for bids for the construction of a bridge over the Mattole River which will link the present county road with the road that runs to the Punta Gorda Lighthouse. It will be a cable suspension bridge. The most expensive material for the bridge was solved by the county from the bridge over the South Fork Trinity near Salyer. The state construction a new bridge at that site. Also - the clerk was ordered to advertise for bids for removing the bridge over the south fork Eel at Dyerville and moving it to Redway where it would be erected over the South Fork Eel. The plans call for the addition of a 65 foot span which is not in the old bridge. Bids for both projects will be opened on June 22.
