Place: Redwood creek Orick

Text: A truck and a car met in the middle of the rickety timber bridge over Redwood creek in Orick. The floor of the bridge gave way and both vehicles dropped 40' feet to the dry creek bed at the point where they fell. This bridge was built in 1902 and was nearly 100' feet long. In 1920 it was overhauled.
