Text: Brief history of Port Kenyon from the Ferndale Enterprise by G.F. Bradford (10/14/1879). In the spring of 1876, the steamer Continental made it over the Eel river bar and into the Salt river & ran up to Port Kenyon. In August, the company Harley & White law constituted a warehouse & wharf on both sides of the Salt River. Mr J.G. Kenyon owned half the town & half the continental warehouse.
