The Calif. Highway Comm. has entered into a contract with Webber Constr. Co. for the erection of several temporary bridges over Cedar Creek and Smith Riv. between Adams station and Patricks crk on the RW highway. These bridges will allow use of the new highway grade along the smith river and eliminate the long hard pill over Gasquet Mtn on the road between C City and Grants Pass. Beyond Patricks Crk grading is underway northward to the Oregon line. This section should be opened to travel during 1926.
