Text: The City Council authorized the mayor to sign approval of the State Div. of Highways to repave Broadway north from Wabash to 4th, & 4th to the east city limits. The council feared the state was going to shift the through route to the south of the city & abandoned the maintenance of Broadway & 4th to the city.
