Text
Bandon to Eureka. After leaving Crescent city they first made it to De Martins for the night. Next day, were ferried across the Klamath by an Indian, + made it to Mrs. Johnson's ranch. This is a large dairy ranch and regular stepping place. Another climb over a hill for 3 miles and 3 mile beach walk brought them to Upper Gold Blunts. The high tide prevented them from walking on the beach. They made it to Houlihan's Ranch for the night which was south of Redwood creek. The reached Big Lagoon the next morning the tide was high and breaking over into the narrow spit.
