Text: Constr. of the new fisherman's wharf began Dec. 11, 1946 with dredging in the area where the pontoons are stationed to pilings. The wharf project was estimated to be complete on Nov. 14 per city engr. George Winzler. Demolition of the old log floats and pilings which extend westward from the city owned railroad wharf. The new docks will accommodate at least 100 average size boats. A temporary 2 plank walk connects the western system of the steel floating docks with the city shoreline property.
