Text: Construction is underway for a whaling station at Trinidad. A 10 yr lease has been concluded with Judge Tight who owns some of the land needed. The first bores have been made for the blasting. About $330,000 will be spent. A pier 800' feet long will be built to Prisoner's Rock. Hammond Lumber Company has given a R/W across its property & an order has been placed for 1.5 MBF of lumber. Tom Langford will soon erect a smelting plant.
