Text: George Newell, logging contractor of Fortura, has been awarded a contract by NWP to clear the redwood for 8 miles for the extension of the Railroad south of Dyerville. Its estimated there are 16,000,000 BF of timber to be cut. The job will require this & next summer to complete the job. The NWP railroad will reach Dyerville next spring.
