Text: The HBMWD confirmed that G-P and Simpson Paper company signed contracts which call for annual minimum payments of $144,000 by each firm. That insures construction of the Ruth Reservoir project =$10,750,000 which will begin next March. The HBMWD formed on March 13, 1956. The contracts call for delivery of water by July 1, 1962 and run until 1999. The 131' foot high dam will cover 1,150 acres. The district has secured water rights to 130,000 A.F/yr.
