Text: Small hand-built dikes in the lower Eel near the mouth will be greatly improved by contracting with George La. Montugne of Antioch. He will dredge out of McNulty, Hawks, Quill and Seven Mile sloughs in the first group of contracts which involves 3,000 acres. The second group of contracts 3,000 acres, most of which is in the Russ Estate. About 200,000 c.y. of dirt will be moved in the total of all contracts at an est. cost of more than $20,000.
