Text: "Contracts for 3 Bridges Let" Mercer-Fraser was awarded the contract for constr. of the Clausen Trestle bridge on the Ferndale to Fernbridge Rd. Henry Kelsher was awarded the contract for the small pile bridge over Lindsey Crk near Ocean Hs. Sam Ralston was awarded the contract to constr. a bridge over Madrone Crk. above Korbel. Two other jobs were advertised: at Fields Landing a trestle bridge leading to the wharf will be built. it will contain 25 bents of fifteen feet each on 375' total. A.J. Logan did the design. At Beatrice a concrete culvert will be constr. near the clipse creamery. Co. Engr. Logan was at Scotia yesterday inspecting the new steel bridge being built over the Eel. At Ballou's Ford across Salt river, a Crew is at work preparatory to removing the isolated Howe truss bridge and putting in a new structure.
