The HCHS, HC Pioneer Society & the North of Fourth Assoc. have launched a cooperative effort to raise funds to purchase the Carson Mansion & use it as a public museum. The Carson owners have indicated the house can be bought only for the purpose of preserving it for a landmark and memorial.
