Text: In 1929, the state legislature passed the Planning Act - Chapter 838, 1929 Statutes of CA. The act regid all counties to have a planning comm. of 9 members, 6 of which were to be appointed by the chairman of the BOS and the ex. afficied members. The PC is to dev. a master plan for the physical & commercial dev. of the county & to assist in an advisory capacity to the BOS. In compliance the Humboldt County Board created by ordinance 166, dated March 11, 1930, the HCPC.
