Text: "Goodrich County Asks For Road Day" The county sent a letter to Calif. Gov. Johnson asking some day the week of Aug. 6 - 12 be set apart as "Good Roads Day." The main reason was to publish in several newspapers and magazines that transcontinental routes are now open, and the Pacific Highway from Seattle to San Diego is in excellent condition. The goal was to attract tourists and stimulate tourist travel.
