Text: County Surveyor George Conners spent time investigating the site he believes is best for a steel bridge over the Eel at Singley's ferry. He noted neither bank was eroded during the recent high flows and the Eel did not overflow its banks at this spot. The approach on the Ferndale site will have to consist of 950 feet of fill and 250 feet of trestle.
