Text: The B.O.S. yesterday directed County Surveyor Frank Kelly to prepare a master plan of improvements for the County Airport on the Redwood highway between Eureka and Arcata (Murray Field). The improvements are to be to federal standards. The plans will be used to in an effort to secure federal funds for the improvements so that the airport can be used to train HSU students. HSU President Gist is preparing an application to the Civil Aeronautics Authority for the right to use the airport as a training school.
