Text: Coyote Dam near Ukiah. Ground was broken yesterday for construction of Coyote Dam. Col. John A. Graf, COE, S.F. District Engr. Est. Cost = $7,467,750 and should be completed in 3 years. It will be an earthen structure 163' feet high, 3,500' feet long. Capable of impounding 122,550 A.F. It is a flood control project and will also provide irrigation water for Mendocino and Sonoma Counties.
