The city of Eureka formally agreed to employ C.C. Kennedy of San Francisco as the supervising engineer on the Mad River Dam Project. He will be paid 4.5% of the construction cost of the project. Mayor Frank R. Sweasy established the total fee to Kennedy is $40,000. Kennedy will supervise the surveys, design, and construction of the water works improvements covered by the loan and grant to the city from the Federal Public Works Administration.
