Text: Some descriptions of the city of Trinity at the mouth of the Eel laid out by the of the Paragon in the spring of 1850 and the bayfront of Eureka by James C. Marshall. He took a claim of Ryan's Slough, made some redwood shakes, etc. He sold out to Ryan & Duff in August 1850, and returned to Ohio. He remembered an old root was anchored at the foot of F street & was used as a wharf in that spring of 1850.
