Place: Garberville Eel River Scotia

Text: Description of flood impacts. Scotia bluff slide blocked the train. At Garberville the S.E. Eel was jammed with logs, up rooted trees, boards, oil drums and other debris. On Sunday the river there rose one foot/hour. Eel River valley residents found tons of debris throughout the area. The Eel fell below flood stage Tuesday morning. Mills in the Leggett area closed down and reported huge losses of logs.
