Text: Work will begin next Tuesday on the 91 acre Greenview Acres development. It will ultimately contain 390 homes. The land was formerly the T. Gerlach dairy farm which will be annexed to the city of Arcata. George Laken Construction is the new owner and will do the development. The old Gerlach farmhouse at the west end of 11th where it dead ends, will be demolished. He plans to build 100 houses/year on 60' x 100' lots. Arthur Siri Inc. is doing the street work. Homes will cost $14,000 - $17,000 and mostly ranch style. Lawns will be seeded a tree planted in the front yard and sidewalk poured.
