Place: Eureka Marshy Point Fortuna

Text: Dr. Robert Heiser came to Eureka to investigate a Indian Burial site discovered by a duck hunter at Marshy Point on the South Spit near the South Jetty. Seven complete skeletons were found. The bones were taken to the Hunter - Wise mortuary in Fortuna. Beads & buttons were also buried with each skeleton.
