Text: The large dredging project of the channels in Humboldt Bay has been completed. The dredge "Seattle" was towed out of the bay by the tug "Arthur Foss". The project began on Oct. 28, 1938. The Fields Landing channel was widened to 300' feet long, turning basin 600' X 800', Samoa channel 300' feet wide and Eureka channel widened to 400' feet-all to 26' feet deep.
