Text: The Eureka City Council passed a resolution asking the U.S. War Dept. to obtain a special appropriation from congress to construction protection works for the Buhne Farm at Buhne Point which is eroding away as a result of the change in the course of the currents, tides, surf and wave action since the construction of the jetties. The attorneys for Buhne argued the eroding land is interfering with navigation on the bay by filling in the channels and forming shoals. Many acres of bottomland have been swept away.
