Place: Broadway Hawthorne Cedar Street

Text: Paving contracts were awarded. The BOS awarded a $5410 contract to pave Broadway 1/2 mile south of the city limits to Hawthorne Street. The Eureka City Council awarded a contract to pave 2 miles including Broadway from the City limits north from the City limits on Broadway to Cedar Street, thence east to B Street, thence north to 5th Street. The paved width was mostly to 18 feet though a piece was at 16 feet.
