Text: The first school building built in Eureka that stands at 216 4th will be torn down. It originally was located on the SW corner of 3rd & G where the City Hall now stands. The school construction was unique in that it was built of "2x8" pine timbers 35' feet long. They are still good. About 25-30 years ago it was bought by Jacob Sowash & moved to 216 4th.
