" To make Formal Protest Against Water Diversion" Formal protest prepared by Attorney Quinn has been prepared for the county and will be signed by the B.O.S. The State Div of Water Rights in the Dept. of Public Works will receive protests up to May 1 against the appl. of Snow Mtn & Power Company. Snow Mtn & Power Company already have a water rights to divert same water from the Eel. Quinn said they are not meeting the terms of that water rights which requires the minimum dry weather Q not be diverted. Their new appl. is a request to divert 214,000 A.F. more from the river. Engineers say this could leave the river almost dry during a large part of the year.
