Photos inside view NW of Trinidad Head from ? spot on road near Baker Beach ??; the wharf looking south from (today's Sea Scope Restaurant); the old whaling station dwellings on the edge of town; aerial by Merle Shuster looking NE; view of 101 thru center of town ; Shadow Lodge; old whaling boiler; famed Trinidad Cross. The lighthouse was erected in 1871. The oil burning lights were replaced by electricity in 1947. Popul. ~150 people. The general store is owned by Mose Saunders while John Spinas and Harold Daniel run its garage. Has 2 restaurants. A replica of the lighthouse is now under construction by the Trinidad civic club. The ground was donated by Earl Hallmark.
