Text: Full page on Hammond Lumber Company towns at Crannell and Big Lagoon. 10 photos- houses; interior of store; P.O.; etc. It mentions 24 four-room bachelor cabins built at Big Lagoon camp. Notes a dike was built across a meadow originally used as pasture for cattle. Now a log pond. Fred Georgeson, Superintendent says they are logging 250,000 BF/day now & will increase to 500,000 BF during the summer. The county estimates there is 35 years of Redwood logging in the Big lagoon area. The mess hall can feed up to 120 men.
