Text: The Good Roads Convention was overwhelmingly in favor of improving roads in Humboldt County. The needed funds are to be raised by voting bonds under the law of 1907. Chairman Coonan noted the present traveled roads of Humboldt county were construction prior to 1872. The roads from Eureka to Arcata and to Ferndale & Rohnerville were originally constructed prior to 1880. The roads leading from Petrolia and Upper Mattole were construction in the period of 1874 - 1879.
