Text: Gov. Earl Warren yesterday announced the state supported the Trinity Diversion. He said CA is committed to development of these conservation projects such as the Trinity Diversion Project and the Sacramento Valley irrigation canal system. Diversion of the Trinity river was included in the CA Water Plan in 1931 but removed by the state legisl. in 1945. The Trinity River Diversion Project has never been approved by Congress. It was authorized by former Sec of Interior Chapman when by executive order wrote it into the Central Valley project as the Trinity River "Diversion".
