Text: " Dyke To Be Removed" The Harber Commission received word from the state A.G. to go ahead and take out the dyke on the Devel Slough near Arcata. This slough is about 5 miles long. Some time ago Mr. J. Cochrane dyked his property so the tide was prevented from flowing into the slough.
