Text: Highway projects for which bids will be opened during May. 4.3 miles of crushed rock surfacing & producing bituminous macadam rock between Little River and Trinidad. 3.3 miles of crushed rock surfacing & producing bit macadam rock between Big Lagoon and Orick. 0.7 mile grading between Loleta & Beatrice. Construction of the new bridge over Mad River began last week. Grading operations have started at the southern end of the new Redwood Highway from Arcata to Mad River. Grading & surfacing is underway on 0.9 miles of Redwood highway between Mad River & Mill Creek.
