Text: Article that contains the history of the Eureka Mill owned by Ryan, Duff & Company. The mill was constructed from the sidewheel steamer, the Santa Clara. It continued till it was destroyed in 1862 by fire. The lumber cut by this mill was pine or spruce and was used for planking the streets of S.F.
