It states plans are formulated for the construction of a whaling station at Trinidad by the West Coast Company. Work will begin Jan. 1 & be completed by April. Thousands of dollars damage occurred forms along the lower Eel due to the loss of soil. The Giacomini farm suffered greatly. Riprap was torn out in several places.
