Text: Jerry James died last Sunday morning and many will attend his funeral this afternoon at the Sanders Funeral Home. Internment will be at Ocean View Cemetery. He was 71 and lived at Bucksport. He was the only survivor of the Feb. 25, 1860 Indian Island Massacre. He was an infant at that time and was found in his dead mother's arms. He was well liked in the community and had two sons.
