Text: RFD by Andrew Genzali. The article says Charles E. Anderson, a Ukiah realtor, said 5,000 acres of the Shelter Cove Ranch, owned by Mr. + Mrs. Keith Etter to Robert G. Moore + Assoc. The earliest records indicate that John Ray bought the land as state school land in 1876. The ray family + Bank of Mendocino sold it to the Notley brothers in 1902. Keith Etter leased it from 1933-1947 at which time he bought it.
