Long article on the Eel River & its current flood flow & resulting damages to various ranches. For the past 18 years the Eel has been slowly winding its course in a south westerly direction. Many acres of Mr. J Dungan's farm, the old cannery grounds, sweet fishing grounds and buildings and the ranch of W.H. Loehide are gone. The great flood of 1879 is mentioned.
