Text: Major Frederick B. Butler of the C.O.E (S.F.) and H.G. Gerdes, a S.F. Engineer visited the area, 3 times last week they visited the Mad River District - looking at the river to a point above Ruth. Eureka has looked at the Mad as a future water supply noting the possibility of building a dam above Ruth and another dam below that point.
