Text: Supervisor George Williams of Fortune will meet with Mendocino county supervisors, along with George Connors, Humboldt county surveyor & a Mendocino county surveyor to discuss improvements to the overland road. The plan is for Humboldt county to construction 9 miles & Mendocino county 20 miles, the result being the elimination of the Bell Springs Mountain section. The new road would run from Garberville south along the south fork Eel. ( DT. there is no mention of it connecting at Cummings)
