Text: A meeting will be held on Monday (tomorrow) at 10am at the Eureka Inn to discuss the development of the Klamath & Trinity River Watershed so as to obviate the planned diversion as described in HR 7343 (Trinity Diversion Project) now pending in Congress. This group is known as the Klamath River watershed Diversion Association. The bill in Congress to divert the Trinity was introduced by Claire Engle (D) and Sec. of Interior Oscar L. Chapman declared the project was feasible! Congressman Huber B. Scudder (R- Calif) opposed the bill noting that the Feather River Project would impound 6 times that of the Trinity Project, all for use in the same area.
