Text: Bulldozers leveling a site in Manila for a proposed site for a copper smelter plant. The corp. is located in SF and is headed by Dr. C. Charles Celestri. He also intends to smelt chrome and other metallic ores. The eighty-acre parcel was owned by Alice Wahlstrom of SF. The ore is produced just north of Hoopa, presently trucked to Redding, then transferred to rail and taken to Portland. The co. will build large vats and the $250,000 plant should be in operation by the first of the year.
