Text: T.S. Articles - states the author believes Milltown was wiped out in a flood around 1873. Author may be Genzoli quoting Dr. Dungan. Dr. Dungan's father told him the great floods of 1861-62 caused the Eel to was out a new channel from near Fernbridge to opposite the Dungan home, leaving the old channel (Old River) and an island between the lower part of which was part of father's large tract of brush land. By the late 1880's his father estimated the river had washed away 500 acres of his property.
