The large RR over Mad River, built by the Pacific Bridge company of S.F., owned by John Vance, which was washed out & destroyed last winter. It is being rebuilt by the California Building company of Oakland. This company also just finished the new bridge over the Van Duzen river. This bridge is 150 feet long span & 50 feet above the bed of the river, 25 feet higher than the highest water line. The whole tross is housed and roofed in. There is 112 feet of approach of small spans and trestle work resting on redwood foundations.
