" New Highway Out of Crescent Used" On Sunday Aug 10th the new highway that runs south out of Crescent City was opened to the public. It runs south from Cushing Creek on an easy graded & follows the ocean's rim for 4 miles before turning inland. The road had to be blasted from solid rock. Autos were routed back onto the did road "Last Chance" at the 14 mile post.
