Text: News of 25 Yrs Ago by Will N, Speegle. 1922. On Sept. 14, 1922 the Eureka Inn was formally opened. All traces of the college that existed on the 80 ac. tract on the flat above Alton are gone. Frank Page of the Wizard Ranch needed the materials for structures on his ranch. The 80 ac. tract was purchased by John Degnan and put under cultivation.
